Anomalous muscle bundles within the right ventricle may cause obstruction
to blood flow at the level of the outflow tract. This condition is usually
associated with a ventricular septal defect. Although complete correction
is usually approached through a right ventriculotomy, the anatomic
configuration makes repair through a right atriotomy more suitable. The
advantages of this approach are discussed and a case report is presented.
