Subacute bacterial endocarditis causing disseminated intravascular coagulation: resolution after valve replacement
JJ Stuart and R Breyer

coagulation which failed to respond to therapy with antibiotics and
heparin. The coagulopathy resolved within 24 hours after the affected heart
valves were replaced with prosthetic valves.
