Anomalous subclavian arteries were used as interposition grafts for
systemic-pulmonary arterial shunts in three infants and children with good
early and long-term results. This is the first report of the use of an
anomalous subclavian artery as an interposition graft for a
systemic-pulmonary arterial shunt. The advantages and effectiveness of the
technique are discussed.
