Surgical relief of superior vena caval obstruction with flaps constructed
from pedicled right atrium and pedicled pericardium has been performed
successfully in 2 children aged 1 and 13 years. Long- term conduit patency
43 and 24 months after the operation has been achieved with this technique,
despite continued growth of both patients.
